Everyone’s care counts

Do you help look after a family member, friend, or neighbour because of illness, disability, age, or another reason? You might be an unpaid carer, even if you don’t use that word. Or maybe you know someone who provides this kind of care?

Caring can mean many everyday things including – cooking meals, attending appointments, offering emotional support or expressing a child’s needs and wishes. Many people don’t see themselves as unpaid carers, but we want to make sure everyone understands and can access the help available to ease pressures and worries.

We’ve launched a survey to better understand the experiences of people providing family care or unpaid care in Oxfordshire—and we want to hear from you.

We’re keen to hear from people of all cultures and faiths, and especially voices from Caribbean, Hindu, and Sikh communities. Your experiences will help us improve local support and ensure services meet everyone’s needs.

Some communities are often underrepresented in consultations. By sharing your experiences, you can help shape services that are inclusive, practical, and responsive to the people who rely on care—and those who provide it.

Your insights matter. Together, we can make a real difference for everyone who cares for someone in Oxfordshire.
