Have your say on Carer’s Allowance

The Government has launched a call for evidence on Carer’s Allowance, inviting views from carers, people who are cared for, carers’ organisations and others with relevant experience.
The call for evidence is an opportunity to share your experiences and views to help inform future decisions about Carer’s Allowance, including areas such as:
- how the earnings limit affects carers who work
- making payments more predictable for carers with changing incomes
- how Carer’s Allowance works alongside other benefits, such as Universal Credit
- the rules around studying while receiving Carer’s Allowance
- any other experiences or suggestions carers would like to share
If you’re an unpaid carer, or work with unpaid carers, you can take part by sharing your views before 18 August 2026.
