Carers sitting in a cafe talking

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. By giving your time, skills and kindness, you can make a meaningful difference to the lives of unpaid carers across Oxfordshire.

Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a regular way to get involved, there are different ways you can support carers in your local community.

Help bring unpaid carers together

Could you help create a welcoming space where unpaid carers can meet, share experiences and connect with others who understand what they’re going through?

As a volunteer, you can help set up and support an unpaid carers group in your local area, creating a regular opportunity for carers to meet with the guidance and support of one of our Carers Advisers.

Become a telephone befriender

A friendly conversation can mean so much. As a telephone befriender, you can offer regular companionship and a listening ear to a carer who spends so much of their time supporting others.

Through our Carers Phone Friends service, you’ll help carers feel more connected, valued and less alone.

If you can spare some time to volunteer and would like to find out more, call us on 01235 424 715.
