Carer’s Leave Bill

We are delighted to report that events have moved quickly since the Carer’s Leave Bill passed its Second Reading in the House of Commons on Friday 21 October. The Bill which would introduce up to a week of unpaid Carer’s Leave, has now today been successful at Committee Stage – another important step in its journey.

The next steps for the Bill will be the crucial Commons stages of the Report and Third Reading which, if successful, will mean the Bill passes to the Lords.
