Food Delivery Volunteers

Feet Up Fridays is a meal scheme for unpaid carers in Oxfordshire. The scheme provides four free meals per delivery to support unpaid carers and their households. This gives carers a weekly night off from cooking for a month to free up time for themselves. It is run by Carers Oxfordshire and Thomas Franks.

“We were having a particularly difficult week, then there was a knock on the door with our Feet up Fridays delivery. It couldn’t have come at a better time.” – Carer

Make a difference in your local community

We need help with deliveries to expand Feet Up Fridays to more carers.

You will pick the meals up from Savona in Kidlington and then deliver them to carers in your local area.  We are particularly keen to cover central Oxford (within the ring road), Vale of White Horse and the Bicester area.

A delivery lasts around two hours, with six planned across a year.

You can claim the cost of the fuel back.

If you have a car and are able to spare some time to help, email your contact details to carerswellbeing@carersoxfordshire.org.uk
