Short breaks available for your child and family this summer

The summer holidays can be a busy time for families, and having opportunities for your child to take part in activities and enjoy new experiences can make a real difference.

Oxfordshire County Council’s short breaks offer provides opportunities for disabled children and young people to enjoy activities, try new things and spend time with others, while giving parent carers valuable time away from their caring responsibilities.

Short breaks can help children and young people build confidence, develop independence and enjoy new experiences, while giving families time to rest and focus on their own wellbeing.

The short breaks team shares regular updates with families and professionals, including upcoming activities, regular sessions and information about parent carer support groups.

If you would like to find out more about available activities or receive the monthly Short Breaks Update bulletin, visit the Oxfordshire County Council website.
